Val d'Isère saw the launch of a new clothing brand, starting with bandanas, Banned inc. A small number of designs were rolled out through the VSPOT snowboard shop and the interest was encouraging. Over the summer I will be working with Banned inc, including the production of the web site, stickers and t-shirts along with more bandana designs.
So the season here is over half way through and I am busy working mainly with VSPOT. Tight deadlines and interesting subject make this fun and rewarding.
As the bar + shop is new to resort the promotion needs to be aggressive and as a holiday destination this promotion has to be undertaken on a weekly basis.
For a sample of the promotion I have been producing check out the VSPOT portfolio.
New for the 2008/09 season in Val d'Isére, Vspot is a bar and snow sports clothing / equipment store.
The brief was to produce a simple "classic" verstile logo. The logo itself has been developed in 3 forms. From the initial mono logo's colour ways have been put together for this season, signage and pre-season advertising.
The Quiksilver Pro France 2008 Hossegor started with the "Tony Hawk Ramp Skate Show", strange title but amazing show. Tony Hawk was joined by Jess Fritsch, Sergie Ventura, Andy MacDonald, Kevin Staab, and from Europe Pete King, Jürgen Horwarth and Sam Bosworth.
A practice session took place the day before the event, with Kelly Slater seen watching Tony Hawk skate - that's two of the Quiksilver Super Pro's in the same spot at the same time.
The Quiksilver Pro France 2008 will hit Hossegor as of the Friday the 19th September. This is one in eleven destinations that make up the ASP World Tour and will see the top 46 surfers in the World competing.
Following the success of Planks Clothing winter 2007/08, the grass roots ski clothing brand is set to launch an even bigger range of clothing for 2008/09 winter season.
Jim Addlington founder of Planks Clothing commissioned Laurie Barker of Flipmedia to produce the first in a series of adverts. The advert will be published in the Free Ski publication Dark Summer, to co-inside with the start of the winter season.
